Ignite Update - God is Moving!
Four months in, and the Ignite Initiative continues to move forward. Total giving has reached $153,903.81, with pledges holding strong at just over $1.3 million toward our five-year goal.
The same projects are in motion: $100,000 applied to our mortgage principal, $10,000 invested in Florida Church Planters, and the fire panel replacement is nearly done. The first payment of $11,682.48 has been made, with a final payment of $27,259.12 coming in May — and the project is expected to be fully completed by the end of the month.
It's not a flashy update, but it's a faithful one. The building is getting safer, the mortgage is getting smaller, and the kingdom investment is already bearing fruit somewhere in Florida. Steady progress is still progress — and we're grateful for every person who made it possible.
The Time is Now
Ten years ago, God gave our church a vision of seven churches planted across our region. It seemed impossible then—we were managing debt, maintaining aging facilities, and just trying to keep up with ministry demands. But God's call was clear: this church exists not to gather and hold, but to multiply and send.
Now, we're launching the Ignite Initiative, and we're both inspired and challenged by what God is calling us to become. This isn't just a building campaign or a debt payoff plan—this is our Damascus Road moment, where we move from "Woe is me" to "Here I am, send me."
The Ignite journey is a call to a renewed lifestyle of faith and generosity that will define our church for generations to come. We're committed to striking the ground for complete victory and asking, "God, how far will You take us?"

Dear Swiss Cove Family,
Ten years ago, I was walking around my neighborhood having a fistfight with God. I didn't know why He wanted us to move to Jacksonville. I said, "I don't know what you want from me!? Why am I here!?" I've never heard the audible voice of God, but on that walk, the response I felt deep in my soul is one I will never forget. He said, "I want you to plant seven churches." I laughed and said, "God, I'm not even in charge of the church I'm at right now!"
Fast forward a decade. I'm on another walk, frustrated about our March 2030 mortgage refinance deadline. When I brought a refinance plan to the elders, they said, "We don't want to refinance, we want to pay off the mortgage." So I'm asking God what He's going to do about it. He said, "I already told you what I want from you. I want you to plant seven churches."
This is when everything clicked. The building isn't the goal—it's the launching pad. The Ignite Initiative isn't about maintenance; it's about mission. God has been preparing Swiss Cove for this moment, and now He’s showing us how to get there.

Our Goals
As God leads us on this five-year discipleship journey, what would it mean for your generosity if you were to awaken your understanding of who God is and respond with an eternal perspective?
While God has significantly blessed and equipped our church for this moment, this is not about Swiss Cove. This is about Jesus and His power at work within each of us.
Primary Goal
Our primary goal is 100% participation – that all of us would awaken to what God is calling us to in this next season. First and foremost, this journey is about growing spiritually and embracing our identity as a sending church.
Secondary Goal
Secondly, this is an invitation for a generous commitment of $2 million to propel Kingdom-centered initiatives over the next five years. We want to equip future generations by how we make a difference in the church today.
Fuel the Future
We're paying off our $1 million mortgage and investing $700,000 in facility renovations to create the launching pad for multiplication ministry. When we're debt-free, we redirect over $13,000 monthly toward church planting and missions. Our renovated facility becomes the training ground and home base for the seven churches vision.
Light the World
We don't wait until we're debt-free to start multiplying. We're launching our first church plant with $100,000, establishing a Counseling Center for community impact with $150,000, and enhancing our discipleship pathway, livestream technology, and missions expansion with $50,000. This is about becoming like the church at Antioch—choosing to send rather than hoard.
How This Works
The Ignite Initiative is a five-year journey beginning January 18th, 2026. During these five years, we're asking you to make commitments above and beyond your regular giving. Your Ignite commitments will fund both arms of the initiative—Fuel the Future and Light the World—allowing us to simultaneously eliminate debt and launch into multiplication ministry.
